this is my questionnaire which i gave to people to help me understand what people wanted in it. i asked the average price, what they would like to see and if it was for men or women of both.

i also done this last year with the front cover curious. i took the front cover and made a smaller one to put in my contents like real magazines. i also used the colours to match with what my magazine was about (halloween). it also went with the colours of the levels in the background of the front cover.

i created this image in october last year. This is my practise peace which you can tell is not very good compared to my final peace. However it help me understand photoshop and media studies.

if we look at thsi magazine we can see it is loud because of the colours.the title tells us straight away its a music magazine by having the word pops.there a bright colours pink,yellow,white,black, this shows us its not using loads of colour that would spoil the cover.they have cover some of the title with the models head, which could also mean that it is such a popular magazine that it doesnt really matter if they did. they have packed in the information about whtas going on in the magazine however not to packed that it spoils the front cover.it has shown the mains parts of the things people are wanting to buy the magazine. they have alos used a yellow bar across the top to highlight the important information.

This magazine is different to rolling stones because this has alot more things on the front cover. Also the model on the front (madonna) is posing on her picture. they have used the black background and tred writing which is a good combination to make the writing stand out. this is a medium shot picture picture which filles the page. the have only used a few colours in the magazine red, balck and white. they are great colours to use together.

Rolling Stone

i like that the magazine has filled the full front cover but has made it look over packed and tacky.i think the bad thinbg is that they have over coved the name of the magazine. the only letters you can really see is the R,G,O and this makes it hard to no what it is. i like tht they have made the colours fit the models on the front(girly colours and fun) compared to the normal dark colours. it is great that the pictures look so natural like they werent expecting the photo to be taken. it has alot of interesting things on the cover to show you what is inside the magazine.

im making a music magazine for my progect.i have decided to base my magazine around rock and dance because it is unusual.i am trying to be unique and hope it will stand also be succesful.

my cover and layout will be similer to this magazine:



i am going to use this layout because i like the style and the way the font sizes are different and unusual just like i am trying to achieve.
